The Economic Development Department promotes Grant County's many business opportunities to a range of potential investors and helps them to succeed.

We assist in business relocation planning, acquire public funds to support economic advancement and manage the county's media publications and promotional efforts, including this website.

The department also acts as a liaison and facilitator to streamline business start-up processes and encourage rapid development of industrial, commercial and small business enterprises.

Thinking of relocating your business? We can help you with:

- Property selection and site tours to find the optimal location.
- Market research on such factors as demographics and workforce availability.
- Financing options including incentive programs, tax credits and job training assistance.
- Ombudsman services with state and local agencies to ensure a smooth relocation process.

Our business assistance services include help with permitting, incentives, workforce development, and financing assistance, as well as project management and connections to public/private resources, cities and regional EDCs.

We invite you to contact us.
Business DevelopmentThe Grant County Economic Development Office can help you with all your business development needs from starting a new business to relocating an already successful operation to Grant County.

Small or emerging businesses can get help writing a business plan, business finance, marketing, cost of goods, and other business issues.

The Small Business Management Program I starts in January each year and runs through November with evening classes that meet monthly.

Along with class time, each instructor provides face-to-face mentoring on an individual basis to enrolled participants at no cost to the business.

Program II is for those participants that want to continue a more in-depth course of study. Program II is offered when there is sufficient interest, as in January 2009.
