VISION: Grant County is a place where today's children will want to raise tomorrow's families.

MISSION: The Grant County Commission on Children and Families, through leadership and collaboration with all generations, supports the development of strong, healthy children and families.

The Grant County Commission on Children and Families and the Grant County Safe Communities Coalition are working together to create a safe, healthy and drug free community by working on policy change, sponsoring alternative activities and fostering leadership in our youth.

Some of the Focus Issues identified by the community that the Commission on Children and Families, Safe Communities Coalition, and Community Partners are working on are:
* Youth Substance Abuse - youth substance abuse was listed as a priority in all 36 counties in the State of Oregon.
* Adult Substance Abuse
* Living-Wage Employment
* Child Abuse/Neglect
* Domestic Violence
* Access to Health Care
* Availability of positive activites for our children
* Children entering school ready to learn (availability and affordability of preschools)
