| MEETINGS |
Regular meetings of the Grant County Court are held at 9:00 am on Wednesdays in the County Court Room at the Grant County Courthouse in Canyon City. Regular meetings are open to the public and handicapped accessible. Contact the County Court Office at 541-575-0059 to arrange for special accommodations if necessary.
The County Court conducts weekly business meetings, special meetings, public hearings, and appeal hearings. The County Judge acts as Chair of the local Emergency Food & Shelter Board and the Gertrude L. McRae Scholarship Committee, and is the Grant Washeshed Representative to Oregon Department of Enviornmental Quality concerning solid waste and recycling matters.
County Court functions as Grant County's Contract Review Board, Grant County Extension & 4-H Service District Board of Directors, and comprises one-half of the Grant County Budget Committee. County Court is represented on the Southeast Regional Alliance / Area Commission on Transportation, Regional Workforce Investment Board, Northeast Oregon Housing Board, Community Connections of Northeast Oregon Board, Community Counseling Solutions Board, and the Greater Oregon Behavioral Health Board. |
