Regular meetings of the Grant County Court are held every Wednesday beginning at 9 am in the County Court Room at the Grant County Courthouse in Canyon City. Meetings are handicapped accessible and open to the public. Please contact the County Court office at 541-575-0059 if special accommodations are needed.
In addition to holding weekly business meetings, special meetings, and hearings, the County Judge acts as Chair of the local Emergency Food & Shelter Board and the Gertrude L. McRae Scholarship Committee. The County Judge is the Grant Washeshed Representative to Oregon Department of Enviornmental Quality concerning solid waste and recycling matters.
The County Court functions as Grant County's Contract Review Board, the Grant County Extension & 4-H Service District Board, and comprises one-half of the County Budget Committee. The County Court is represented on the Southeast Regional Alliance / Area Commission on Transportation, Region 14 Workforce Investment Board, Northeast Oregon Housing, Inc. Board, Community Connections of Northeast Oregon, Inc. Board, Community Counseling Solutions, Inc. Board, and the Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, Inc. Board. |
